nyMusikk Bergen is one of nyMusikk's oldest local branches with activity dating back to the 1970s. The branch organises a series of concerts throughout the year in various genres, and hosts professional forums with current topics within contemporary music.

They consider children as equal audience members alongside adults, and have their own events tailored for children under the banner nyMusikk Krapyl. nyMusikk Bergen organises, among other things, composition training for children and the weekly concert series Biblioteksmusikken (Library Music).

Additionally, they have the concert series Vreng, which fuses folk music with experimental music. Many of their concerts are organised in collaboration with other actors in the alternative music scene in Bergen.
