Bergen Kunsthall is a centre for contemporary art, presenting exhibitions and events by international artists. Established initially as Bergens Kunstforening in 1838, the Kunsthall is based in an early functionalist building from 1935 with gallery spaces and a bookshop.
Landmark is Bergen Kunsthall's daytime café and nighttime event space and bar, hosting a series of cultural live events through the year. Bergen Kunsthall is a membership organisation, built on the modernist idea of an arts association.
