Jørgen Larsson started and led two pioneering institutions in Bergen; Bergen Centre for Electronic Art (BEK) in 2000 and Lydgalleriet in 2007. In 2018 Larsson's book 'Håndbok for lydarbeid i visningsrom' wa published. Currently he is collection curator of The Grieg Art Collection and exhibition curator at Oseana Art and Culture Centre in Os, Norway

Sound work in gallery spaces

The primary goal of the workshop is to equip participants with practical tools and knowledge to enhance sound presentation in exhibition spaces. Through hands-on exercises and demonstrations, fundamental principles of sound, listening, and acoustics will be explored. Specific challenges related to each venue will be discussed, and collaborative solutions will be developed to effectively utilise spaces for showcasing diverse sound types.

Lydbank

This project is inspired by sounds that give banks their inner and outer life. All bankruptcies have their own sound, for example, in ATMs, banknotes, counters, tele machines, or just old fashioned sounding coins.
