Bergen Dansesenter is a centre for development of professional dance locally and regionally, as well as a local and regional centre for dance education for amateurs. One of the three founders, Liv Basberg, is the managing director, whilst the board is the foundation's highest authority. BDS are part of the Cultural Centre USF Verftet in Bergen, where they have premises on 3rd and 4th floors, comprising office, studios and a library.
