Situation Aught seeks to invoke and cast light on the habits that form our perception and decipherment of reality. A sculptural sonic landscape within which the audience may listen and observe as materials come alive, and manifest into music.
This kinetic ensemble consists of three parts: Reverie III, Vifte ovenpå fjernsyn and Hjemfalden til tiden and Tilfældige udvalgte kombinationer. These self-sustaining electronic sculptures fill time with spastic movements and acoustic occurrences, forming a selection animated by electricity, passed onto and running through the mechanical parts it is made of.
The sculpture’s sound and movement patterns are effectuated by those who see and listen; hjemfalden til tiden og tilfældige udvalgte kombinationer is simultaneously patient and indecisive. Reverie II is an electronic sanctuary consisting of 20 movable plastic bags, generating acoustic noise and complex oscillating motions. An environment to enter and explore kinetically and acoustically like a garden.
