Jeff Carey performs his music in two versions: as electro-instrumentalist and as composer of electroacoustic works.
In the midst of two totally different approaches to electronic music, Carey tries to handle real-time improvisation, the ability to make musical decisions in the moment and controlling of the sonic material simultaneously. Carey builds his own sound systems from scratch, exclusively with its' own technology.
He recently released the 7-inch 'Jeff Carey's MoHa!' on Rune Grammofon. Carey performs 'Works Structural Unit II' and 'Speaker Quartet II' as well as a sequence oflive improvised electronic music in this concert.
Carey is in Bergen to develop a project at BEK in collaboration with Bjørnar Habbestad and Lydgalleriet.
