FÆSTSPÆLLÆTSTÆLLÆNGÆN

Instruments are mic'd up with a newly acquired monster bass system purchased by Bent in Motorpsycho. The result is an unpredictably loud live installation of sound and critically high watt levels.

Golden Serenades (Jørgen Træen and John Hegre) have been in Duper Studio's basement lately, soldering and fiddling with their two specially purchased guitars.

With the help of Roar Sletteland, the guitars are converted to automated noise makers. With relays and motors, sensors, a large amount of microphones and pickups, and of course lots of effect pedals and other electronics, the guitars are transformed into self-contained instruments. They generate feedback loops in a grinding, twisted improvisation for two.

They have focused on 'the last 5 minutes of the traditional rock concert', where crushing of guitars is a well-known ingredient. Without warning or dissolution, they go straight to one of the biggest clichés to break a guitar slowly. The audience witnesses why guitar breaking is still fascinating and seductive, even if one momentarily feels a little stupid for having ripped off such a cheap trick.

DJ Bjørn Torske plays tunes and serves food and drink, and there will be enough for those who wish to come by after the grand opening in Grieghallen. FÆSTSPÆLLÆTSTÆLLÆNGÆN is co-produced with BEK.
